Frequently Asked Questions

Have you received my film yet?

You’ll know when we get your film as soon as we know!

As we open each incoming order, it is immediately scanned into our system. This automatically triggers an email confirmation to be sent to you, our awesome client. So, keep an eye out for our email (don’t forget to check your spam folder) and make sure you give us the most up-to-date, accurate email address with your order. This way you won’t miss a beat!

Psst, another way to see if your order has arrived is to use a shipping carrier that provides a tracking number for your package.

How long will it take to receive my scans?

The amount of time it takes to process and scan an order depends on the amount of rolls it has, the minimum (without a rush fee) is 7 business days for orders with less than 10 rolls, and from there on it goes in crescendo depending on the amount of rolls.

What's the turnaround time like?

During our non-peak season (around January-May), for orders of 1-25 rolls, you can expect your scans in 7-10 business days. For orders over 25 rolls, you can expect your scans in 10-15 business days.

During our peak season (around June-December) turnaround times may be extended. Please email service@martaxfilmlab.com for a current turnaround.

Business days exclude weekends and holidays. “Day 1” is the day after you receive the “Your Film Has Arrived” email.

How long does it take to get my film developed?

Normally, for color rolls it takes up to 7 working days to have your roll developed and receive your scans digitally. For all other types of orders, the estimate is given when you drop the roll(s) off with us and is usually maximum 2 week.

Do I need to name with a project every order?

Even though it’s not strictly necessary it is very helpful when sorting jobs or finding frames to re-scan. It only takes 2 seconds and if you don’t have an exact name you can label it with the month and year it is. There is no excuse!

Can I send disposable cameras?

Disposable/waterproof cameras are priced like 35mm film. You’ll select 35mm as your film size and continue filling out the order form normally. When you ship your camera(s) to Martax Film Lab, we will remove the 35mm film from the camera housing then process and scan the film just like any other roll of 35mm.

I still can’t find an answer to my question.
